The Imaginarium

The Imaginarium is a Multi-Sensory room, an olfactory experience designed for both adults and children with additional needs.

Multi-Sensory rooms are used by people of all ages and all abilities for relaxation, focused work, stimulation, physiotherapy, communication and stress release. They are sometimes also used for specific work, such as a teaching tool for persons with additional needs.

The Imaginarium in an interdisciplinary space and has been designed by designer Claire Garry B Des, in conjunction with end users, parents and care workers, and occupational therapists from local day centres and schools.

It is an unique environment in the midlands and we are confident that we offer the best possible environment for sensory therapy, relaxation, learning or fun through immersion in an environment of specialised equipment.

The room can be used with individual clients or small groups and can be combined with therapies offered in the adjoining craft school such as art and visual therapies, drum and guitar circles, and beauty and aromatherapy. Each session is individualised according to the needs of each child.
